The feathers are not like it shows in the picture the straps are too long the sewing to the front was ripped.
Be sure to read the fine print. I was hoping to find a new red dress for an event and shelled out $400 for it, not realizing that if it didn't work out all I would get is store credit. I'm used to dealing with reputable companies that always give refunds if an item doesn't work out. Guess expensive lesson learned.
While Simply Dresses is my go to for years for all my formal dresses, I noticed of late for the past years that the sizing seems to be off. For instance, last year according to the size chart for a dress I bought in size 8, it was almost twice my size. This last order again I ordered my size based on the size chart in size 6 and the dress is too tight. I have always had to consult with my seamstress lady to have the dresses adjusted in some shape or form. Nonetheless, the dresses are lovely even after being adjusted to fit my size.
I ordered a Medium size dress because I am usually a M/L. So I figured Medium would fit well. When the dress arrived it was so big (fit like an XL) that the top portion fell right down. It was so big there was no way I could reasonably get it altered. To make matters worse, customer service only offers store credit on returns. I needed a dress by a given date and now feel as if I wasted my time and money with Simply Dresses. One star for me. Sizing is way off. Won’t need a dress by the time I’m able to get the store credit to buy another dress in a different size👎🏽
This dress met all my expectations, it’s beautiful. I returned it because it was too small. I followed the measurements on the fit guide but the zipper was about an inch from being able to zip up. Consider ordering a size up.
I was worried about buying this dress without trying it on first, feeling the fabric, seeing length, etc.. Anyways, when I contacted customer service they responded very quickly, and gave me their best knowledge about my concerns. They also reached out when expecting a delay in shipping and wanted approval to continue purchase, which was really comforting. Overall I love this dress, it’s gorgeous, fabric is nice, it is a bit long for me but I expected as much since I’m 5’0. I definitely recommend getting it.
I got so many compliments on this dress as I made my way to an elegant restaurant. Everyone loved it. A plus sized woman only looks stunning in a gown like this. Be bold ladies and dress for dinner!
I did not like the back of the dress. It sort of had a cowl back but, it actually looked like I had a backpack on. I will be returning the item.

Fits perfectly size wise, but skirt runs a little long for someone who is 164”, great quality and comfortable! Absolutely stunning dress
The dress is beautiful, however there’s so much glitter transfer! Also, I couldn’t really raise my arms up very high due to the way the straps were stitched on. Beautiful dress but you’re a walking glitter bomb

Ordered the wrong size and was told I couldn’t exchange the item. Extremely disappointed. Could not wear the gown to the gala. Thanks for the ripoff Simplydresses.com, you lost a customer.
I assumed the "multicolor" description referred to the coppery/gold sequins on black dress. I was SURPRISED. Ive had many Mardi Gras gowns and this one is by far my favorite. It's comfortable, fits true to size, and is absolutely stunning. The sequins completely change color with the lighting. From red all the way to light-ish blue, depending on how the light hits.

Did have to have it altered very long, my alterist did make note they did the top layer cheaply and was uneven probably due to the flowers on it being scattered but you cant notice since it is so much dress. plus since she took it up she cleaned it up the best she could. Alterations are very expensive heads up!
Was pretty disappointed. Dress looked nothing like the image and the cups were up near your collar bone. Service from the company was also poor.
This dress fit me perfectly and was so so so flattering! It wasn’t uncomfortable or anything either! The top isn’t really as see through as I thought it would be and I was still able to get away with wearing a sticky push up bra!
